Meet Ted
Ted Delicath is a Senior Advisor at McChrystal Group, where he helps organizations tackle complex, high‑stakes challenges through disciplined execution, decision‑making, and leadership alignment. His work focuses on translating strategy into action, particularly in environments shaped by uncertainty, crisis, and rapid change. He has supported public‑ and private‑sector clients across homeland security, defense, energy, technology, and biomanufacturing.
Previously, Ted served in a range of implementation and leadership roles at McChrystal Group, including leading long‑running, on‑the‑ground engagements supporting state‑level COVID‑19 response efforts. During the pandemic, he helped design and execute vaccination rollout strategies and supporting systems, working shoulder‑to‑shoulder with government leaders during a period of sustained operational pressure.
Beyond his consulting work, Ted Delicath brings deep operational leadership experience from his service as a Ranger‑qualified Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army and his continued service as a Space Officer in the U.S. Army Reserve. His approach blends structured decision‑making, systems thinking, and a strong bias toward action—helping leaders build clarity and momentum when it matters most.
Ted holds a bachelor’s degree from Illinois Wesleyan University, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and a master’s degree in Security and Conflict from Dublin City University as a George S. Mitchell Scholar, where he finished first in his class. He is also pursuing an Executive MBA at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and serves in leadership roles with the Andrew Weishar Foundation, a nonprofit supporting families facing pediatric cancer.
