His work focuses on helping public‑sector leaders build resilient teams, improve workforce performance, and translate strategy into measurable results.
What did you do before joining McChrystal Group?
I served for 25 years in the Army, culminating my career as a Chief Warrant Officer Five (CW5), Senior Legislative Liaison, and Senior Policy Advisor for the Army G-1. Following retirement, I spent three years as a senior civil servant with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, serving as the HR Director and Military HR Division Chief. I then attended Georgetown University, started a small management consulting company, and joined McChrystal Group as a Senior Advisor.
Why did you join McChrystal Group?
I joined McChrystal Group because of its culture, mission, and leadership. The firm’s values align closely with my own, and I was drawn to the opportunity to work with people who are deeply committed to making a real difference every day for leaders, teams, and organizations.
What has been your proudest moment at McChrystal Group?
My proudest moment was being offered a permanent position after six months as a Senior Advisor. Joining McChrystal Group full time was a goal I worked toward intentionally, and it meant a great deal to be welcomed onto a team whose people, culture, and mission I deeply believe in.
Why are you passionate about leaders & teams?
Leaders set the tone for an organization and ultimately shape its culture. I’ve seen firsthand how great leadership and aligned teams can turn a job into a career and a mission into a passion (and I’ve also seen the opposite). Those experiences are why I’m passionate about leaders and teams. I believe any team can succeed and even thrive with intentionality, commitment, and the right tools.
