Meet Mia

Mia Mulrennan is a Senior Advisor at McChrystal Group with over 30 years of experience in global leadership, organizational psychology, and culture alignment. As a seasoned CHRO, CXO, and consultant, she partners with executive teams to integrate culture with corporate strategy for organizations such as Star Restaurant Group, Sun Country Airlines, and PDI/Korn Ferry. Known for her systems-level thinking and operational expertise, Mia has a track record of delivering impactful, data-driven strategies across diverse industries including retail, hospitality, education, and airlines.

In her role as CEO of Rave-Worthy Consulting LLC, Mia advises Fortune 500 companies on culture, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and customer success. She is the creator of an award-winning assessment tool, developed through 30+ years of research, that helps organizations build customer-centric cultures by optimizing hiring and onboarding processes.

Previously, Mia served as Chief Talent Officer at Star Restaurant Group, where she reduced turnover by 57% through strategic talent acquisition and leadership development initiatives. As a Senior Consultant at PDI/Korn Ferry, she worked with top-tier clients in banking, retail, and hospitality, providing insights into customer-focused strategies.

A recognized thought leader in applied business psychology, Mia speaks regularly on company culture and consumer behavior. She is the author of Passed Over and Pissed Off, the only book focused on Gen X leaders. Mia was also awarded the Georgetown University Teaching Excellence Award in 2016 and served on the Advisory Board for their Masters of Global Hospitality Leadership Program.

Mia holds a Doctor of Applied Psychology (PsyD) from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology and a BA in Psychology from the University of Minnesota. She is fully credentialed in over 40 assessment tools, including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Hogan Leadership Forecast Series. Mia is the President of the HR Executive Forum Twin Cities and a former Governing Body Member of the Minneapolis CHROs.
