Will Smith is a Partner at McChrystal Group, specializing in developing high-performing teams and leading strategic engagements across the life sciences and technology sectors. Since joining in 2011, Will has played a vital role in evolving the firm from a start-up to a globally recognized brand, serving as one of its most tenured leaders.
Will is deeply experienced in helping organizations leverage the Team of Teams leadership model to bring breakthrough therapies to market. He has worked with five of the top ten pharmaceutical companies, advising on competitive readiness, leadership team effectiveness, and transformational change projects.
Beyond his client work, Will has been integral to the growth and development of McChrystal Group's internal functions. Serving as the first in several operational roles, including business development and marketing, he led initiatives that helped establish the firm's identity, expand its international reach, and enhance profitability. His leadership in these areas has been foundational in shaping McChrystal Group's distinctive brand and client-focused ethos.
Before joining McChrystal Group, Will was a healthcare consultant at PwC. He also served as an officer in the Army National Guard for eight years, a role that further solidified his commitment to leadership and service.
Will holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Georgetown University, graduating magna cum laude, and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
